Performance Validation exhibited at the 2017 MichBIo Conference and Expo on January 18 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Kevin Marcial and Maggie Scow were in attendance to answer questions on Business Information Computer Systems, Medical Device Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation. The theme for the event was “Connecting Technology, Health & Well-Being”.
There were presentations on paradigm changes in healthcare, pricing challenges, and bioscience innovation – to name a few. The event also facilitated valuable networking opportunities. The “C-Suite Insights” session on the state of bio-industry in Michigan and executive’s views on doing business in a global bioscience economy was quite interesting. C-Level Executives from MPI Research, Stryker, Tetra Discovery, and Medbio described how they felt Michigan is a great state to do business in. They expressed confidence that the market looks positive for sustainability and growth in the state. However, they all agreed that challenges with Michigan being a bit “off the radar” (as compared to the East and West coasts) in the world of biotech continue and need to be addressed.
The 2017 MichBio conference was a nice venue to showcase what Michigan has to offer the bioscience industry. Performance Validation hopes to see continued growth for MichBio in 2017.
