From Day One: How Performance Validation Sets You Up for Career Success

Starting a new job is a big step. At Performance Validation (PV), we’ve built a training program with your success in mind, designed to help you grow professionally, gain valuable skills, and hit the ground running.

Here’s a look at how we ensure our team members are equipped for success from their first day:

1. A Welcoming Start: Connecting with Your Mentor and Team

Your journey at PV begins before you even step into your first project. From day one, you’re paired with a mentor who serves as your go-to guide, helping you navigate your new role. Your mentor and manager make introductions to your team, laying the foundation for strong professional relationships and ensuring you feel supported every step of the way. These early connections give you a network of colleagues ready to answer questions, share advice, and celebrate your progress.

2. Building Your Foundation: SOPs, SOPs, SOPs!

Mastering the basics is key to feeling confident in any role. At PV, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provide the structure and language you need to excel at our client sites. During this part of the training, you’ll dive into PV and client documents, learning the processes, expectations, and industry-specific terminology that define your work.

Think of this as learning a new language—it’s the key to understanding the day-to-day operations and communicating effectively in the regulated environments we support.

3. Exploring New Opportunities: Touring Client Sites

One of the most exciting parts of joining PV is the opportunity to tour client facilities. Guided by your mentor and team members, these tours provide an inside look at the innovative environments where our work takes place. Whether it’s a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing plant, a biotech lab, or another state-of-the-art facility, these tours offer valuable insight into your role while deepening your understanding of the clients we serve.

4. Learn by Doing: Shadowing Your Team

Once you’ve gained an understanding of the basics, it’s time to step into the action. Shadowing is an integral part of our training program, offering a hands-on approach to learning. Your mentor and team will guide you through project meetings, share examples of verification documents, and invite you to observe project execution in real time.

This phase isn’t just about watching—it’s about actively engaging. You’ll begin to see how processes come together, how decisions are made, and how your role contributes to the bigger picture. Shadowing gives you the confidence to ask questions, explore new ideas, and start applying what you’ve learned.

5. Gaining Confidence: On-the-Job Training (OJT)

On-the-job training (OJT) is where your learning really takes off. With the foundational knowledge in place, you’ll start contributing to real projects under the guidance of your mentor. Initially, you’ll take on smaller deliverables, but as your skills grow, so will your responsibilities.

This phase is designed to build your confidence incrementally. You’ll receive personalized feedback, ensuring you feel supported while also being challenged to grow. By the time you transition to working more independently, you’ll have gained the necessary experience and skills to effectively contribute to future projects.

6. Planning Your Future: Setting Goals

At PV, we don’t just focus on what you’re doing today—we want to help you achieve your goals for tomorrow. As part of your development process, you’ll work with your manager to set both short- and long-term goals. These goals are tailored to your interests and aspirations, whether it’s mastering client systems, joining a professional organization, advancing your technical expertise, or pursuing leadership opportunities.

During regular one-on-one meetings, you’ll revisit these goals to track your progress and adjust as needed. This structured approach ensures that your growth is intentional and aligned with your career ambitions. At PV, we’re committed to helping you not only succeed in your current role but also reach your fullest potential.

Why It Matters to You

By providing mentorship, hands-on learning opportunities, and a clear path for growth, we ensure that every team member feels equipped and empowered to excel.
